My name is Elise and I help businesses and organizations raise critical funds to further their mission and goals. I also help couples plan beautiful weddings and celebrations on a budget. I am a skilled project and relationship manager who has dedicated my career to social and environmental justice, driven by the belief that each individual can make a positive impact on the world. I also believe deeply in the magic of a good party...and in inclusivity, acceptance, and doing what you want with your life, loving who you love, being who you are meant to be.
You'll probably notice that there are a lot of flowers around here - from my logo to the photos I feature. That's obviously intentional! When I was a little girl, my family had a cabin in the mountains and every day we were up there in the spring or summer, I would pick my mom a bouquet of wild flowers - indian paintbrush, lupine, alpine asters. Today, I grow flowers (and vegetables) in my own garden - it brings me so much joy to see life spring from the ground - and I always have a bouquet of seasonal flowers in my house. I once read that someone was given the advice to "throw three bouquets a day" - this (unfortunately?) doesn't mean throw actual bouquets at people - it means give at least three compliments, or do at least three kind things, each day. I love that mantra, and do my best to live by it.
Here you will be able to follow my journey as a mid-career professional negotiating my career in the nonprofit sphere, find event planning resources, or learn how we can collaborate on your project - along with some wedding planning tips, budgeting suggestions, road trip guides, and Southern California hike recommendations. Thanks for being here!
